Unexpected death of spouse and son on an accident

This past Friday (September 9th, 2022), a horrible tragedy occurred in our family.

The Zapata Lopez family experienced a car accident that shook their world while they were driving on their way to Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico with the only goal to help the community that was devastated in that city couple of weeks ago when an unexpected weather event showed up leaving flooded areas and disaster to hundreds of families that lost everything.

Axel (Cristina's husband), Cristina and Blanca Lydia (siblings) started collecting cleaning and kitchen supplies, clothes, water, food, etc. for the last couple of weeks so they could travel to Muzquiz and help their community. Axel, Cristina, their two little kids - Axel and Iker - and Blanca departed on Friday on a pickup truck full of items to be donated.

However, instead of bringing hope and happiness to other families, this ended up in a fatal tragedy, where, unfortunately, Cristina, Blanca and Iker (Cristina's younger son - 3 yrs old) passed away.

The purpose of this fundraising is to support Axel and his oldest son (Axel Jr - 6 years old); the whole family is understandably shocked by this loss and obviously not prepared for all that is happening at this time. Losing a loved one is always hard to deal with; losing three at the same time like this tragedy adds a different element to the grieving process.

There are added financial stressors and We'd like to show our support during this challenging time by helping them cover unexpected costs due to this sudden tragedy and what is coming. Anything you can do to help the Zapata Lopez family during this time of heartbreak is greatly appreciated.

Also, if the fundraising amount allows, we would like to accomplish their dream to help to their community; I'm sure Cristina and Blanca would like that to happen; both of them had a big heart, they were very kind to those around them, not just with family and friends, but also with people they didn't even know.

In these times of loss and sadness, people always come together to help one another. We are thankful for any support you may be able to provide. We also ask that you keep The Lopez Maltos, Zapata Lopez and Rodriguez Lopez Families in your thoughts and prayers.
