Unexpected Covid-19 Death of Husband & Father of 2

Donation protected
Hello, I am Christopher Grouse, a close friend of Karen Kwong and Alex Fang.

On Monday July 27th at 11:30am The owners of eNoodles (Karen and Alex) lost one of their most beloved eNoodles members, Hendro (Andrew).  He was diagnosed with Covid-19 on June 30th, 2020 and was admitted to the ICU in Concord on July 6th.  During that time, his family and friends were not able to visit or speak to him because he was in a medically induced coma.  After 21 days in the ICU, Hendro succumbed to the virus.  He passed at the age of 48 without being able to say goodbye or to see his beautiful daughters and wife one last time.  We have known Hendro for 20 years as a friend and considered him as our brother. This loss is deeply personal, which makes us realize that there is no one that can ever make us feel the way he did, as though we were in the presence of joy and happiness.  Please keep the family in your prayers.

Hendro is survived by his wife Lulu, whom we have known for 20 years, and his two daughters Feisya, 11 and Valerie, 5. Lulu now faces the task of being the sole caregiver for their 2 girls after many years of being a stay at home mother. The loss of their husband and father now creates a huge financial burden, as Hendro took pride in being the sole provider for his family. The Atmojo family needs any support we can give during this time of grieving as they carve out a new way of life without Hendro.

We hope our eNoodles family and community will join together to provide anything to help his family through this sadness and beyond.  The funds will give comfort in any kind including education, financial help, and hope to ease the pain of the family’s loss while they try to work out the intricate details of day to day life. We thank you for any help you may give. Even if you are not in the position to help, please share this GoFundMe page with your friends and family.

Hendro was truly a family man.  His everyday life revolved around his family.  Hendro and his wife Lulu came to the United States in 2001. Feisya their first daughter was born in 2009 followed by Valerie in 2014. In 2014, he joined ENoodles to help set up the sushi bar. Since then he has worked at Enoodles as the head sushi chef. Karren and I will be forever grateful for his dedication and work ethic that made our sushi bar blossom. His knowledge of sushi not only helped us, but also let our customers and the Concord community enjoy the best and freshest sushi.

He loved anything that had to do with culinary, from exploring new restaurants and watching YouTube video to learn new skills and recipes.  He also enjoyed taking his girls (all three of them, as he would say) on trips that make them happy and help them learn to embrace all cultures and beliefs with kindness.  His main goal was to make sure Feisya and Valerie lead a healthy and successful lives.  He also had a dream of owning his own business and to help build a mosque.

Finally, on behalf of the Enoodles family we want to thank all the frontline medical personnel who took care of Hendro. Their selflessness and dedication will be forever appreciated. We wish good health to everyone in these uncertain times; we are in this together.
