Help the homeless: Street safe!

This small group of people are truly inspirational! They're working together to help the homeless of our city, bridging the gap between what people need and what the government supplies by cooking bulk meals to hand out, donating items of clothing, blankets, toiletries etc and most importantly, giving their time to people who need it.

It's important for many people to understand how people find themselves in a situation where they have no home. It is not always simple and clear cut, most people become homeless through no fault of their own. Many people suffer from addiction and/or mental health issues who simply cannot find their own way out of the vicious circle.

WE are seriously underfunded to support the ever increasing amount of homeless people in Derby. Not everyone has the spare time to commit to projects but I hope that everyone can contribute in different ways. Imagine if everyone in Derby donated £1 (in 2011 there was 248,752 people in this city), imagine what these wonderful people could achieve when they're already achieving so much with nothing!
