I have very sad news to share with the group.  Alberto Frias (from Cubic Manufacturing) was at our department holiday party last Thursday afternoon(photo attached) and then he flew to Cuba that evening.  While in Cuba, he had a stroke and was quickly flown back to the US.  I spoke with his wife and received an update regarding his condition.  He has partial paralysis on his right side and is having difficulty with his speech, but he is alert and could hear me on the phone.  He will be discharged from Sharp Memorial Hospital 12/14/17 and then moved to the acute rehabilitation center (also at the same location) so he can have diagnostic tests done and begin his journey to recovery. We are all sending him our love, prayers, and wishes for strength in his recovery and appreciate any and all support during this difficult time for Alberto, his wife, and his daughter and their families.
