Robert McDermott has worked in EMS, serving his community, for the past 20 years. His devotion, his care, and his selflessness have earned him the love and respect of all those around him. Those of us who have had the pleasure of knowing Robert, know that he is one of the kindest and most compassionate souls we’ve ever met. The type of person that would give you the shirt off his back.
Robert was preparing for his retirement at age 73 and was planning on moving to Wisconsin. Unfortunately, a recent cancer diagnosis has derailed those plans. He is currently undergoing treatment and has not been able to work for the past few months. Before receiving his diagnosis Robert was working a lot of overtime to cover some unexpected expenses, and I’m sure it has only gotten more difficult financially since.
It is incredibly heartbreaking to see someone like Robert, who has worked so hard for so long, receive such terrible news. To many of us who have worked alongside him, he is like family... our “uncle Bob”. Please consider making a donation, no matter how small, to help Robert with his medical expenses. I know in my heart that he would do the same for us.
