UNCA Women's Soccer - Spring Fundraiser 2019

For the love of the game
When I think about women's soccer in general, that's what comes to mind. And that's exactly what comes to mind when I think about our girls. Whatever path they chose; every game, tournament, injury, test, early morning, late night, triumph, trophy and tear in their journey, lead them to the UNC Asheville Women's Soccer field and this moment.
As the search for a new Head Coach continues, and the girls continue to grind it out on the field, weight room, classroom and community each day, we'd like to give them the opportunity to do a few things outside of normally funded activities. A little extra something for them to use to make either the upcoming season (or the end of their current one), just a bit different than it has been in the past because they deserve it. This is hard.
Because the staff situation is still evolving, the exact plan for the donation is unclear, however, when all the pieces are in place the vision is this:
1. Plan some team building events and eat some great food: hike, camp, bowl... do something FUN together and LAUGH! Asheville has lots to offer!
2. Buy a few things that the team is in desperate need of
3. In the spirit of this campaign - pay it forward. Donate a portion of the money earned or time to a local charity.
This journey hasn't been exactly what was envisioned however, they are tackling it all together, and that's powerful and has meaning. Thanks for considering and please forward this onto to any and all who may be interested!
Listing a Fundraising Goal was required. No idea what to expect. No contribution is too small (or tooo big for that matter!!!) ;) Every little bit helps and matters.
