Unable To Work & Losing Our Home

Donation protected

On 10/9 I was admitted to Christiana Hospital and was diagnosed with an undeterminable infection in my back that has entered into the bone of my spinal cord. I've been in the hospital since. The doctors installed a PICC line directly into my heart  to administer very strong IV antibiotics, that would otherwise blowout any veins in my arms. The prognosis is that I will I need at least 6-8 weeks of continuous IV antibiotics to have a chance at beating this. Unfortunately my job offers no short or long term disability, and I can't return to work with this PICC line running into my heart because I cant lift more than 10 lbs.  As a truck driver that's an impossibility.

This puts me in a situation where I will be unable to make my rent payments or cover any of our bills. Obviously my children and fiancee are unable to cover the expenses, as my job is our primary source of income. I'm worried sick with how I will make it through this unfortunate situation, or if I will even have a job if I do.

My employer does not have to hold my job after 2 weeks and it has already been one week. If I had been working with this company for at least 12 months my job would be secure under The Family Medical Leave act, but unfortunately this is not the case.

I feel pathetic having to ask for help like this but I don't know what else to do.  All I can do is pray and hope that my friends and family (or anyone for that matter) could find it in their hearts to donate whatever they can to help me cover the expenses to help me support my family until I can get back to work.  If my current employer offered short  and/or long term disability insurance (like my last employer did) then I would have certainly opted for it, but they do not. I do know that if I make it through this I'll be starting to pay for a short and long term disability policy on my own, so if something like this happens again I won't have to ask for charitable help.

I'm literally begging for you to help with whatever you can, the smallest donation is still a big help. The timing of this is so unfortunate, considering we just moved into our new home and we love it, and the kids just love their new school. I sincerely thank anybody that could help contribute to help us in this difficult time. Please share this story if you could. The more exposure this gets hopefully we will get the help we so desperately need. Thank you so much for whatever help you can give us, even if it's just sharing our story. Your prayers are also very much appreciated

Most Sincerely & God Bless,

Tony,  Amy,  Little Caitlyn & Curtis
