<div>kleine Konzerte, Lesungen, Events, Ausstellungen und Workshops in Frankfurt/Offenbach im kompletten Jahr 2026. Kleine, schöne, gute, interessante Konzerte, die möglichst günstig und dadurch vielen Menschen zugänglich wären.

<div><strong>Die lange Version:</strong>
</div>
<div>Ich veranstalte seit vielen Jahren kleine und mittelgroße Konzerte, Lesungen Workshops unter dem Namen ‚ichi ichi ‘in Frankfurt und Offenbach. Genremäßig gibt und gab es da keine Festlegung (Punk, Rap, RnB, Ambient, Experimentell, Metall, PostRock, Pop,Dark Wave, Techno, uvm.) mit Artists wie den folgenden und vielen, vielen mehr habe ich in der vergangen Jahren bereits Shows veranstaltet und das meistens im DIY Kontext bevor es zu größeren Erfolgen kam von: Princess Nokia, Lebanon Hanover, Pisse, Fuffifuffzich, Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu, Stefanie Sargnagel, Salò, Anika, Audio88, Molly Nilsson uvm.

<div>Viele der Shows sind sogenannte DIY-Shows sprich Konzerte, die aus eigener finanzieller Kraft ohne jegliche Unterstützung gestemmt werden, sich also aus sich selbst tragen, also aus den Einnahmen, die am Konzertabend zusammenkommen. Das geht durch die beliebte, allseitsgegenwärtige Selbstausbeutung im Kreativbereich und gutem Abschätzen der möglichen Personenzahl, die erscheinen wird am jeweiligen Konzert. Das geht natürlich nicht immer gut und das ein oder andere Mal zahlt man dann aus eigener Tasche drauf, weil man die Bands auch nicht ohne Geld ihres Weges schicken möchte. Die Kosten sind in den letzten 2 Jahren sind seit Covid und hoher Inflation extrem gestiegen, sei es einfach nur Essen und Sprit für das Auto/Bus der tourenden Bands, das gleich gilt für Kosten für das Drucken von Plakaten, so dass ich Bands nie Festgagen versprechen kann und gezwungen bin 60/40 % Deals zu machen. Mir bleiben also nur 40% vom Eintrittsgeld mit denen ich alle anderen Kosten neben der Gage versuchen muss damit zu Deckeln. Kosten: Anlagenmiete, Soundperson, Essen, Schlafplatz, Poster/Flyer, Gema, etc.

<div>Dies ist fast unmöglich bzw. bedeutet oft/immer das man an etwas sparen muss. Mittlerweile muss ich die Artists nicht nur nach Qualität und Besonderheiten, sondern auch nach Bekanntheitsgrad auswählen, was einen Widerspruch für mich darstellt, um eine Abwechslungsreiche und lebendige Musiklandschaft zu garantieren immer ein Risiko bereit hält. Ich bekomme momentan mehr Anfragen, für Konzerte / Events denn je und kann ungefähr 3–4 von 50 angefragten Shows selbst umsetzen, weil es einfach zu Riskant ist. Da manche interessante und grandiose Acts noch nicht allen Leuten ein Begriff sind. Es ist einfacher eine Kopie anderer Konzerte aus anderen Städen abzubilden, weil es mit Band X oder Band Y gut laufen wird und man so ein kleines Risiko hat, aber Newcomern oder Geheimtips nicht unbedingt eine Chance geben kann/wird. All die genannten Risiken, die man beim Veranstalten können je nach Person langsam oder sehr schnell zur Frustration führen; denn eine Menge Arbeit steckt in jedem Konzert egal wie klein oder wie groß, die meisten Menschen, nehmen es als Selbstverständlichkeit war das es auch solche kleinen Konzerte gibt, aber wissen oft nicht was alles an Aufwand dahintersteckt, gerade wenn kein Budget vorhanden ist. Das ist keinenfalls ein Vorwurf, nur eine Sache, die wiederum von mir selbst erst spät gesehen wurde;

<div>Konzerte sind für viele einfach da und finden statt und vielleicht gehe man hin vielleicht nicht. Nichtsdestotrotz muss angemerkt werden, das viele Leute, die DIY-Shows jahrelang veranstaltet haben irgendwann das Handtuch geworfen haben weil sie: oftmal frustriert waren aus dem Gefühl nicht gesehen zu werden, die Arbeit zu sehr zur Selbsverständlichkeit wurde plus die Unbezahlte Arbeit, die dann manchmal sogar noch was gekostet hat.

<div>Also am Ende eine ernüchternde, aber gesunde Entscheidung.
</div>
<div>Ich liebe kleine Konzerte nicht nur weil sie mir persönlich viel mehr Spaß machen, persönlicher, überraschender und intensiver sind als größere Shows, sondern weil sie ein sehr wichtiger Bestandteil für eine lebendige Musik und Kulturszene und eine Community erschaffen können und tun. Kleinere Konzerte sind meiner Meinung nach Creative Hub und Vernetzungsorte, sie bereichern auf vielen Ebenen die Spielstätten and denen sie stattfinden und natürlich auch die Stadt selbst und gerade DIY-Shows inspirieren Menschenselbst aktiv zu werden; sei es Leute auf eine Bühne zu bringen oder selbst mal als Veranstaltende Person in Aktion zu treten. So bin ich selbst auch zu dem gekommen was ich seit vielen Monden tue.

<div>Also falls du solidarisch bist mit tourenden Künstlern und die Arbeit von ‚ichi ichi‘ unterstützen magst würde ich mich freuen und als Dank so viele Konzerte wie möglich organisieren ab dem Ablauf der Spendenfrist +/- ein, zwei Monate, solange dauern die Vorbereitungen ca. für ein solides Konzert. Wichtig ist es mir obendrein Flinta ( Frauen, Lesben, intersexuelle, nicht-binäre, trans und agender )-Personen eine Bühne zu geben; Es finden in der Regel keine Konzerte statt bei denen nicht mindestens eine Flinta-Person vertreten ist. Ebenso richten sich die Workshops, die bisher veranstaltet wurden an Flinta. Lesungen sind meist Comic-Lesungen und/oder popkulturelle Literatur.

<div>Mit dieser Absicherung, kann man die Eintrittskosten für das Publikum gering halten und Menschen aus allen Lebenslagen ermöglichen bei Konzerten und anderen Events teilzunehmen,

<div>das eventuelle Plus kann dann noch weiter umverteilt werden an die Künstler und Künstlerinnen, sowie weitere Anschaffung wie vielleicht eine PA oder andere benötigte Technik, so dass man auf Dauer auch dort Einsparungen hat und das eingesparte und eingenommene Geld in Workshops und Lesungen stecken kann, die sich meistens nicht aus sich selbst tragen können.

<div>Leider kennt mich nicht jeder und die wenigsten haben ein Grundvertrauen in solche Spendenaktionen, aber ich denke und hoffe die Jahre im aktiven Konzertveranstalten von ‚ichiichi‘ in diesem Bereich sprechen für sich. Im besten Fall für 1 Jahr wäre dann 30.000€, die Idealsumme, dass klingt oder liest sich natürlich extrem hoch und utopisch; Aus diesem Grund habe ich das Spendenziel erstmal ‚niedrig‘ angesetzt und denke ganz demütig, das dass auch schon extrem cool wäre „wenigstens„ das zu erreichen.

<div><strong>The Long Version:</strong>
</div>
<div>For many years, I have been organizing small and medium-sized concerts, readings, and workshops under the name ‚ichi ichi‘ in Frankfurt and Offenbach. There has never been a specific genre focus (punk, rap, RnB, ambient, experimental, metal, post-rock, pop, dark wave, techno, and many more). Over the years, I have organized shows with artists like Princess Nokia, Lebanon Hanover, Pisse, Fuffifuffzich, Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu, Stefanie Sargnagel, Salò, Anika, Audio88&amp;Yassin, Antilopen Gang, Molly Nilsson, and many more, usually in a DIY context before they achieved greater success.

<div>Many of the shows are so-called DIY shows, meaning concerts financed out of pocket without any external support, relying solely on the revenue generated on the concert night. This is made possible by the ever-popular and omnipresent self-exploitation in the creative field and accurately estimating the potential audience for each concert. Of course, this doesn’t always work out, and sometimes you end up paying out of your own pocket because you don’t want to send the bands away without any money. Costs have risen significantly over the past two years since Covid and high inflation. This includes basic expenses like food and fuel for the touring bands‘ car/bus, as well as printing costs for posters.

<div>As a result, I can never promise bands a fixed fee and am forced to make 60/40 deals. This means I only keep 40% of the ticket sales, with which I must cover all other costs besides the fee. These costs include equipment rental, sound technician, food, accommodation, posters/flyers, GEMA fees, etc. This is almost impossible or often means having to cut corners. Nowadays, I have to select artists not only based on quality and uniqueness but also on their level of recognition, which is a contradiction for me as it entails taking a risk to ensure a diverse and vibrant music scene. Currently, I receive more requests for concerts/events than ever before, but I can only organize about 3–4 out of 50 requested shows myself because it’s simply too risky. Some interesting and great acts are not yet well known to everyone. It is easier to replicate concerts from other cities with certain bands because they are likely to draw a good crowd, thus minimizing risk. However, this means newcomers or hidden gems don’t always get a chance.

<div>All these risks associated with organizing concerts can lead to frustration, depending on the person, because a lot of work goes into every concert, no matter how small or large. Most people take it for granted that there are such small concerts but often do not realize the effort involved, especially when there is no budget. This is not a criticism, just an observation that even I realized only late. Concerts are just there for many people, and they may or may not attend. Nonetheless, it should be noted that many people who have organized DIY shows for years eventually gave up because they often felt unseen, their work became too much of a given, and the unpaid work sometimes even cost them money. So, in the end, it is a sobering but healthy decision.

<div>I love small concerts not only because they are much more fun for me personally, more intimate, surprising, and intense than larger shows, but also because they are a crucial part of a vibrant music and cultural scene and can create and sustain a community. Smaller concerts, in my opinion, are creative hubs and networking places; they enrich the venues where they take place and, of course, the city itself. DIY shows, in particular, inspire people to become active themselves, whether by bringing people on stage or by becoming an organizer themselves. This is how I came to do what I have been doing for many moons.

<div>So, if you are in solidarity with touring artists and would like to support the work of ‚ichi ichi,‘ I would be grateful and, in return, organize as many concerts as possible after the fundraising period ends +/- a month or two, as it takes that long to prepare a solid concert. It is also important to me to give a stage to FLINTA (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender) people. Usually, no concerts take place without at least one FLINTA person being represented. The workshops held so far are also aimed at FLINTA. Readings are usually comic readings and/or pop culture literature.

<div>Unfortunately, not everyone knows me, and few have basic trust in such fundraisers, but I think and hope that the years of active concert organizing by ‚ichi ichi‘ in this area speak for themselves. Ideally, 30,000€ would be the sum for one year. This sounds or reads extremely high and utopian; therefore, I have initially set the fundraising goal ‚low‘ and humbly think that it would be extremely cool to at least achieve that.
