<div>En agosto de 2023 mi vida cambió por completo. Comencé con dificultades para hablar, una sensación rara al respirar, calambres y debilidad en los brazos. Pasé por múltiples estudios y consultas, hasta que en noviembre de 2024 recibí un diagnóstico devastador: Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA).

<div>¿Qué es la ELA?

</div>
<div>La ELA es una enfermedad neurodegenerativa progresiva que afecta las neuronas motoras, impidiendo que el cerebro se comunique con los músculos. Con el tiempo, los músculos se debilitan hasta que el cuerpo deja de moverse por completo.

</div>
<div>Aunque la mente sigue activa y consciente, uno queda atrapado en un cuerpo que deja de responder.
</div>
<div>No tiene cura.
</div>
<div>En México, hay muy poca investigación, pocos especialistas y apenas una clínica dedicada exclusivamente a esta enfermedad.

<div>Mis síntomas han sido:
</div>
<div>•	Dificultad para hablar y pronunciar con claridad
</div>
<div>•	Sensación de falta de aire al respirar o dormir
</div>
<div>•	Debilidad muscular, sobre todo en brazos y manos

<div>•	Calambres, fasciculaciones (pequeños temblores musculares visibles) en todo el cuerpo
</div>
<div>•	Cansancio extremo, pérdida de fuerza y movilidad

<div>¿Por qué necesito tu ayuda?

<div>El único centro especializado en ELA está en Monterrey, en el Hospital Zambrano Hellion, donde me atiende el un grupo de especialistas y equipo del Dr. Héctor Ramón Martínez Rodríguez, un referente en el tema. Antes de llegar al Dr. Héctor, fui diagnosticado en el Instituto Nacional de Neurología y Neurocirugía “Manuel Velasco Suárez” (INNN).

<div>El tratamiento implica grandes gastos: medicamentos, equipo médico, terapias, traslados y atención especializada.
</div>
