Nuestro papá se llama Neftalí Sánchez, es un hombre enérgico y activo a sus 77 años de edad. Es técnico electricista y siempre está reparando cosas y poniéndolas a funcionar.
Fue operado 5 años atrás de cataratas y trasplante de córnea en ambos ojos. Pero el ojo derecho rechazó la córnea en su momento y fue perdiendo visión. Contaba solo con su ojo izquierdo para ver y ahora no lo tiene, a raíz de un accidente doméstico en el que lo perdió hace una semana.
Hoy nuestro papá está incapacitado de la visión y tiene mucho por hacer, entregar y ver. Para poder devolverle luz a su ojo derecho es necesario un nuevo trasplante de córnea, que le permitirá retomar su vida.
En Venezuela tenemos dificultades en todo el sistema de salud y la hiperinflación ha provocado acelerados y altos costos en los servicios privados de medicina. La cobertura de nuestro seguro es ínfima para lo que requiere. Además, la córnea debe ser traída de los Estados Unidos, con sus consecuentes costos en dólares.
Los gastos de la córnea, envío, nacionalización y de la intervención quirúrgica ascienden a $3.500 dólares americanos.
Acudimos a ti para recaudar esa cantidad en el menor tiempo posible. Queremos recaudar los fondos en un mes.
Nuestro papá tiene poco más de una semana sin poder ver ni ser totalmente autónomo, y a medida que el tiempo pase su estado de ánimo se puede ver afectado ante la imposibilidad de hacer su vida como de costumbre.
