Carrie’s fight

Carrie was a healthy baby 1 year old girl last week who was diagnosed with a ‘virus’ like so many parents deal with every week.
When suddenly things went horribly wrong quickly- Carrie was diagnosed with sepsis and now and still in an induced coma and fighting the fight of her life!
And in the process has ended having her left leg die and is now facing amputation, this family will need everyone’s support and every little bit helps for this Lott’s girl.

I’m currently living in a very bad dream.

Yesterday Carrie was admitted to Redcliffe hospital with pneumonia. Upon further inspection they found that she had contracted sepsis. She was rushed to QCH, where upon arrival she went into cardiac arrest. They managed to revive her but about two hours later she was showing signs of going into cardiac arrest again. They operated and put in a ECMO (child life support) and dialysis. Her little heart, lungs and kidneys couldn’t cope with fighting the sepsis so now she’s on life support to help her while her body fights the sepsis and then later the pneumonia. As of half an hour ago she is stable but very critical. She is a very sick little girl.

For me can you all please hug your babies and tell them how much you love them.
