UN Women's & Girls Delegation

I will be attending the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and Girls 62nd session, March 12th – 23rd, 2018.

UNCSW is an annual gathering at the United Nations to consider global issues related to women’s empowerment and gender justice. This year, the priority focus is something I am especially passionate about: “Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls."

Members of the Episcopal delegation are asked to cover the cost of attending as their contribution to the cause. The estimated cost including travel, lodging, registration fees and  meals is about $5,348.

2) Request that your faith community or Episcopal Church Women make a contribution to the delegation. I am happy to supply a fundraising letter and/or budget if you want to make the ask- just reach out.

3) Share this request widely within your own networks and help me connect with people and organizations who may be interested in sponsoring or supporting me and the delegation.

4) Invite me to speak about my experience, what I learn or about issues related to women and girls with a group of interested people at a house party, at your organization or at your faith community when I return.
