<div>We are very happy to announce the upcoming birth of our son Lucio, who is due on December 26th. As in the USA, here in Mexico we do not have parental leave that would allow us to take time off from our budding businesses when Lucio arrives to join us and his big sister Alba. For this reason, we decided to call on you, our friends and family, for support.

<div>We are two young entrepreneurs who live in a small Zapotec village just outside of Oaxaca city. Working together as a team, we have founded two community-based businesses that often involve local artisans, artists and farmers. These are:

<div>Estamos muy felices de compartir el nacimiento de nuestro hijo Lucio, cuya llegada está prevista para el 26 de diciembre. En México no contamos con apoyos que nos permitan pausar nuestras actividades laborales cuando llegue Lucio.
