<div>Somos Roder y Francisco, padres de Silvestre y Ramiro y nos dirigimos a ustedes con el corazón encogido, pero llenos de esperanza, para pedir su ayuda en la lucha más importante de nuestras vidas. Nuestro querido hijo, Silvestre de tan solo 5 años, ha sido diagnosticado con cáncer. Esta noticia ha sacudido nuestro mundo y nos ha sumido en una realidad que nunca imaginamos.

<div>Silvestre es un niño lleno de alegría, curiosidad y una energía contagiable. Le encanta jugar con sus carritos, dibujar, correr en el parque, que le lean cuento. Su risa ilumina cada rincón de nuestra casa y su espíritu aventurero nos inspira cada día. Hace apenas unas semanas, Silvestre comenzó a experimentar dolor abdominal, dolor en las piernas, cansancio extremo y síntomas de resfrió. Lo que al principio parecían dolencias comunes de la infancia, rápidamente se convirtieron en una serie de pruebas médicas que culminaron en el devastador diagnóstico de Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda B (LLA).

<div>El camino que tenemos por delante es largo y desafiante. Silvestre ya ha comenzado su tratamiento, que incluye quimioterapias intratecales que van directo a su médula, quimioterapias intravenosas a través de un catéter en su pecho, y también quimioterapia oral. Cada día es una batalla, pero nuestro pequeño guerrero la enfrenta con una valentía que nos asombra. Sin embargo, este tratamiento conlleva no solo un inmenso costo emocional, sino también una carga financiera abrumadora.

<div>En Chile el cáncer es una enfermedad de alto costo tanto físico, emocional como económico. Si bien existe el Ges/Caec que ayudan a solventar parte de esta enfermedad, hay muchos otros gastos médicos que no son cubiertos y que significan una carga y preocupación financiera a nivel familiar.

<div>No queremos que las limitaciones financieras sean un obstáculo en la lucha de Silvestre por su vida. Cada donación, por pequeña que sea, nos acerca un paso más a brindarle la mejor oportunidad de recuperación. Su apoyo nos permitirá concentrarnos en lo más importante: estar al lado de nuestro hijo y asegurarnos de que reciba la atención que necesita.

<div>We are Roder and Francisco, the parents of Silvestre and Ramiro. We are writing to you with heavy hearts, but also with hope, to ask for your help in what is the most important fight of our lives. Our beloved son Silvestre, who is only five years old, has been diagnosed with cancer. This news has shaken our world and plunged us into a reality we could never have imagined.

<div>Silvestre is a joyful and curious boy with boundless energy. He loves playing with toy cars, drawing, running around the park and having stories read to him. His laughter lights up every corner of our home, and his adventurous spirit inspires us daily. However, just a few weeks ago, he began experiencing abdominal and leg pain, extreme fatigue, and cold symptoms. What initially seemed like common childhood ailments quickly turned into a series of medical tests, culminating in the devastating diagnosis of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

<div>The road ahead is long and challenging. Silvestre has already started his treatment, which involves intrathecal chemotherapy that goes straight to his bone marrow, as well as intravenous chemotherapy via a catheter in his chest and oral chemotherapy. Every day is a battle, but our little warrior faces it with courage that never ceases to amaze us. However, this treatment comes with an immense emotional and financial cost.

<div>In Chile, cancer is a disease that incurs high physical, emotional and financial costs. Although the GES/CAEC helps to cover some of the cost of treatment, many other medical expenses remain, placing a financial burden on families and causing them worry.

<div>We don't want financial constraints to hinder Silvestre's fight for his life. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving him the best possible chance of recovery. With your support, we can focus on what matters most: being there for our son and ensuring he receives the necessary care.
