Un granito contra el cáncer

Donation protected

My name is Daniel Borrego, I'm from Venezuela but I live in Orlando Florida.

As some of you may be aware, in 2017 my aunt Belén Elisa Rached Romero got diagnosed with breast cancer. All her family particularly her nephews and nieces came together to fight against this disease.

In this moment, thanks to God and your support, Belén is in the final phase of her treatment. The pre-operative exams show that she is ready for surgery. She started her inquiry in different hospitals including the San Juan the Dios where she had her final examinations, the University Clinical Hospital, the Clinic of the Anti-cancer Society, and the Oncological Hospital. As you can see, it has been a journey.

She is waiting for an appointment for surgery in both the Anti-cancer Society and the Oncological Hospital. It is hard to tell when a spot will be available. If we wait for long after the last chemo session, she will be required to undergo additional chemotherapy.

In this journey, there have been angels along the way. These angels are both the doctors who honor their medical profession and loving people that provide their moral support and wise advice. They have been truly present to reach the final goal of finishing the surgical phase.

We are getting closer to a crucial and final step. However, despite the previous efforts, we still do not have the financial resources for the surgery. Currently, there is an important shrinkage of the tumor. But, it has to be extracted to determine future steps.

We come to you with humble hearts once again to ask for your help. We trust in God and we thank you in advance for your support and prayers.

Some words from Belén:

I am deeply thankful for all the people who have been able to contribute and for the continuous prayers. When I feel overwhelmed and my strength seems to weaken, I think of the effort made from everyone involved in this cause. I think of my nephews, the ones that write down their names, the anonymous, the ones that push with their prayers. It is not by chance that I am today the one that receives acts of kindness. I help those who I know need help. GOD has rewarded me with the family, friends, and support that life gives me. I send you BLESSINGS and GRATITUDE.
