<div>Esta es una invitación a contribuir a un sueño colectivo: que el movimiento Salud en Manos del Pueblo tenga un espacio propio, digno y lleno de vida. Buscamos continuar con el legado de Sonia Ribeiro en una nueva etapa, en la que el movimiento entreteja un hogar en comuna, un espacio de salud con consultorio, temazcal y huerto, así como un lugar para la formación y el intercambio de saberes.

<div>Salud en Manos del Pueblo es un movimiento que comenzó hace más de 50 años, impulsado por Sonia María Da Costa Ribeiro (Brasil, 1939 – México, 2009), una mujer valiente que, tras exiliarse durante la dictadura militar en Brasil, encontró en México un territorio fértil para sembrar salud, dignidad y comunidad.

<div>Sonia dedicó su vida a formar terapeutas y ofrecer terapias individuales y colectivas, especialmente en contextos de emergencia como terremotos, migraciones y desastres naturales.
</div>

<div>Tuve la fortuna de formarme con ella desde 2003, sin imaginar que este camino transformaría por completo mi vida. Tras su fallecimiento, he continuado su legado, formando brigadas comunitarias desde 2011 en la Ciudad de México y, desde 2014, en diversos pueblos de Morelos como Amilcingo, Jantetelco y Huexca, acompañando procesos de defensa del territorio y autonomía indígena.

<div>Hoy, tras 12 años de trabajo en el oriente de Morelos, se presenta una oportunidad única: el dueño del espacio que habito (como vivienda y consultorio) ha decidido venderlo.

<div>Si logramos reunir los recursos, este lugar podrá convertirse en la casa permanente del movimiento Salud en Manos del Pueblo.

<div>This is an invitation to contribute to a collective dream, that the Salud en Manos del Pueblo (Health in the Hands of the People) movement can have its own space, dignified and full of life. We seek to continue Sonia Ribeiro's legacy in a new stage, in which the movement weaves together a communal house, a health space with an consulting room, temazcal - a steam bath of pre-Hispanic origin - a medicinal herbs and vegetable garden, as well as a space for learning and knowledge exchange.

<div>Salud en Manos del Pueblo is a movement that began more than 50 years ago, driven by Sonia Maria Da Costa Ribeiro (Brazil, 1939 - Mexico, 2009), a courageous woman who, after going into exile during the military dictatorship in Brazil, found in Mexico a fertile territory to sow health, dignity and community. Sonia dedicated her life to training therapists and offering individual and collective treatments, especially in emergency contexts such as earthquakes, migrations and natural disasters.

<div>I had the great opportunity to train with her since 2003, never imagining that this path would completely transform my own life. After her death, I continued her legacy, forming community brigades since 2011 in Mexico City and, since 2014, in various towns in Morelos, such as Amilcingo, Jantetelco and Huexca, supporting territorial defence and indigenous autonomy processes.

<div>Today, after 12 years of work in the east of Morelos, we have a unique opportunity: the owner of the space we use as a house and clinic has decided to sell it. If we can raise the money, this place can become the permanent home of the Salud en Manos del Pueblo movement.
