Blackmon House Fire Fund

If you know anything about my parents you'd know that they are two of the most amazing people on this earth. As we all live life we know tragedy can strike at any time. This time has come for my parents and little brother. As the Thomas Fire rages in Ventura County California, it took a turn and headed for a beautiful little place my parents have been calling home for 4 years now. They were quickly  evacuated and had time to grab only the bare minimums. They had to leave behind my mom's car, brother's motor cycle, the house, all of thier belongings, clothes, memories, and in their rush my mom forgot to grab her purse with all identification and valuables. They were not allowed to turn around and get anything because of the police barricades and extremely fast moving fire. They returned the next morning to a pile of ashes. Everything was gone! We are blessed they had time to get their beautiful kitty and pup but they are now left homeless and heartbroken. My sisters and I wish so bad we could be there to help but I'm deployed and Molly is on the other side of the country. My parents and brother need to somehow start the rebuilding process. Due to the location of the house they were told they could not be covered for renters insurance, so everything is a total loss. My family would ask your monitary support so my parents and brother can start to purchase so many of the things they have lost. Anything helps. My sister, Kelley Schlottmann, is the benificiary of the funds so there is less for my parents to worry about. My parents and brother are staying with her right now, so they can start making vital purchase as soon as possible. They are planning on starting shopping as soon as the money hits the account. They have already been visiting support sites in the Ventura area and recieved the basic supplies to get by for a few days.
