The Eitner family in South Africa is looking for your support to help Natasha in her fight against cancer.

Here is her story:

Beautiful Natasha

At the young age of 34, Natasha Eitner has been diagnosed with a stage IV Adenocarcinoma, which is a cancerous and malignant lung cancer. Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most advanced form of the disease. In stage IV, the cancer has metastasized, or spread, beyond the lungs into other areas of the body. About 40 percent of NSCLC patients are diagnosed with lung cancer when they are in stage IV.

Natasha is currently preparing her body & immune system for the dreadful chemotherapy treatment ahead.  Natasha faces a long battle.  Future treatment are evident. Just as Natasha’s battle will be ongoing, so will the financial burden. Natasha’s family & friends are now looking to raise money to pay for the initial medical bills and to support her health regime as she enters a period of extensive treatments.

Natasha was born in the Cape Province, South Africa on June 19, 1980.  At the age of  9 her family moved inland to Robertson, where she enjoyed cross country marathons at this young age.  She excelled as a marathon athlete and at this young age got her Junior Provincial colors for this sport. She earned numerous medals of achievement in this sport.  Natasha attended Robertson Primary & High Schools where she was lucky to make a mark in these school’s athletic teams. She has always been competitive, yet a strong willed but a well grounded student.

At a young age of 16yrs the unforeseen happened.  Natasha was suspended from High School due to conservative thinking in the rural Robertson… At this tender age she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy name Charl.  She had the tender loving support of her family and friends.  She vowed to wear a Prom dress and the only way that would happen was to go back to school.  The family now moved to the Strand and with the help of a family friend Natasha was allowed back to Strand High School welcomed by an open minded Principal.  Determined to wear that promised Prom dress she worked hard in school receiving excellent grades and also working hard at her athletics.  She has always had a strong work ethic. She looked beautiful in her Prom dress!   :)

After school she has put herself through College and raised Charl on her own.  Natasha have worked mainly in the local Real Estate environment. She later gave the admin side of Real Estate a side step to enter the Sales world of such.  She is hard working & with the help of her loving family, she juggled being a single parent & a career woman most of her adult life. Through determination she thrives to give Charl the best she can.  As Real Estate has its highs & lows, she had to make due with what she earned, keeping Charl in mind as he was always her first priority in life. Despite of her financial circumstances she did everything in her power to have Charl accepted at one of the top sought after High Schools, in the Cape Province which excels high levels of achievement in academics & sports!  In the process making ends meet Natasha had to give up her medical aid fund to compromise with a hospital plan instead. I guess when we make radical decisions like this in life then we never think of all the “what if’s” that can go wrong.. I can guarantee you that Natasha has never given this a day’s thought as she is this positive person with a healthy lifestyle & good morals.  She had this healthy appetite, love nature, hiking, water sports, mountain bike riding.. etc.  You name it and she has done it..!   :)

For about the last 6 months Natasha started feeling unwell. She wrote this off to being under tremendous stress when her son, Charl  had a motorbike accident at the time.  Charl taking after his mother excelling in sports at school was in the process of losing the use of his one hand and arm.  With the help of Natasha’s fiance Jacques, standing by her side and the power of Prayer, Charl pulled through this difficult time being able to have healed completely.

Approaching a local doctor approx 3 times due to her bad coughing she found herself every time going home with yet another prescription of antibiotics and coughing mixture.  During the last week of April 2015, Natasha’s brother Louis, came to her parents saying he is concerned about Natasha’s health.  Knowing Natasha being a very private person with a lot of pride they knew that they had to go and see for themselves.  They immediately made arrangements for her to go and see their house doctor instead.  This is where it all started.  Immediately the doctor was concerned, made arrangements for her to have x-rays of the lungs at a local hospital. The doctor then summoned her back to his surgery.  He was concerned by shades on the lungs and told her this could either be lung cancer or tuberculosis.  She was then admitted to a hospital where she sadly was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma (NSCLC) Stage IV, which has spread to different parts in her body.

Natasha’s name means “born on Christmas day”.  All though she was not born on Christmas day, I know she loves Christmas period.  She loves the true meaning of Christmas & the giving feeling of what this time of the year brings.  She herself is a great believer, very loving and a giving person.  The people that matters to her in her life know that they will always be in her life. She is not a person for a quick fix or a short term gain. She reaches out to all that crosses her path..  She is loved by her son Charl, he is still young and need her..  Her fiancé Jacques whom adore her & has put a little happiness to the sadness, asked Natasha to be his wife on Sunday the 10th May 2015..  Her mother, father, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends..  Everyone loves Natasha!! and... she has a bright future ahead..  we need your help!

Thank you for taking the time to read her story........

 A message from Natasha

Hi,

My name is Natasha Eitner, I am 34 years old and was diagnosed with a very aggressive Lung Cancer called Adenocarcinoma Stage IV on the 24th of April 2015.

As you can imagine it was the biggest shock I ever had in my whole life.  My entire life flashed in front of my eyes. I had so many questions?? Why me Lord, I lived a good & healthy life, I am a single parent with a beautiful son of 17 years old who is in his last year of school, a wonderful and loving fiancé who also asked me to be his wife on Mother’s day, 10 May 2015.   I was angry, very angry!!   But then I realised I had a choice.  Either I fight this big “C” or I go and lay down and cry in  a corner every day and see my life fade away .   I chose to fight and to live.   I am too young to leave my son behind!   He is my whole entire world and I will not give him up without a fight.

I had many questions to God.  But then I realised…. God does not make people sick.  His clean blood runs through our veins.  When He gave me my life,  I was born healthy!  God will walk this path with me.  I know I am not alone… I have a huge support network with family, friends, friends of friends & even strangers around the world whom is praying for me. I can feel the presence of everyone’s sincere prayers & love and I KNOW THAT I AM Healing. I believe that God is busy healing me so that  I can give my testimony that He  is a God of miracle’s.  We must just believe, pray and stay positive.

I would like to thank everyone in my prayer & support network across the world for your love and care.  It’s your prayers that keep me positive & strong and I refuse to let the big “C” win.

Thank you, thank you, thank you and please don’t stop praying.  Keep on praying.  I know that I have a long road to recovery but soon will have my happy and healthy life back again, together with my son, Charl and my fiancé, Jacques.. Soon we will do all the fun things we like to do….

I am a fighter and a survivor.

With God anything is possible!!

“Never hold on to anything tighter than you’re holding on to God!”

Lots of love Natasha
