As-salamu 'alaikum dear brothers and sisters.
My younger sister, Umm Safa, is a breast cancer patient and we are in need of raising some money for her medical treatment. Our family is trying to raise a large portion of the funding our-self and we now need the help of the community.
Here is a little about her background:
Umm Safa is a mother to 2 girls, aged 4 and 7. She was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in September 2012 and after taking conventional chemotherapy treatment, was given the 'all clear' in Summer 2013. However in September 2013, she was then told that the tumour had returned and it was now more aggressive than before. At this point she decided against conventional treatment especially as it had made the tumour more aggressive and further chemo would have worsened her. She now has Stage 4 triple negative breast cancer, with metastasis in the lung, liver and bone. The conventional doctors can now offer only very little to no support, however there is a specific treatment that will reverse this but at a cost of approximately £5,000 per month (which will last approximately 6 - 12 months) - please see more information below.
Umm Safa likes to be active in various organisations including dawah work, where she even took the shahada of a nurse from her hospital bed not too long ago - Allahu Akbar! Also recently, she was given a nice surprise when a number of speakers contacted her regarding her condition, including Mufti Menk and Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan and had a personal visit from Sh. Navaid Aziz who kindly reminded her about Allah's trials especially to those going through pain and suffering (may Allah reward them all).

Allah says in the Qur'an [5:32] -
"...whoso saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.. "

The treatment:
The truth is that modern science has become quite advanced in the field of 'alternative treatment' which now consists of hundreds of therapies but have yet to be recognised by the NHS or they are simply not up to date with. Until that happens, unfortunately alternative treatment will always have to be funded by private means. This one in particular, works by activating macrophages that eat cancer cells as well as rebuilding an immune system (the body's first line of defence) which has become depressed before the cancer even becomes a symptom. When there are no macrophages the cancer cells are destroyed from the core, not the outside, thereby reverting the phenotype to 'normal'. It is only one of a few treatments available in the world for stage 4 and late stage 4 patients. In addition, the metastatic potential of human cancer cells in culture are reduced, and the treatment also inhibits angiogenesis (stops blood supply to tumours).
