Umbrellas For Distance Learners

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ibrahim S Bangura, a local peacebuilder, child activist, and ambassador also founder and CEO of a nonprofit called Future Leaders Initiative SL based in Sierra Leone.
School children in the extreme rural areas in Sierra Leone have to walk 3-4 miles plus to access a school. They are true distance learners in the old-fashioned sense of the term. 60% to 75% of these children often get to school late and by the time they reach their various schools, they have already missed their first class sessions. During the rainy seasons, these children will have to miss two class sessions because they will have to wait for the rains at home or nearby houses along the road and the rains normally in-come the month of June during the children's third-term promotional exams. Many students have struggled to have better promotional grades because of the rains. This project seeks to provide 200 umbrellas every academic year in May for these young learners to have easier access to their schools during the rainy seasons.
$5 can provide one umbrella and $1000 can provide 200 umbrellas. You are invited to this call to action, lets's make education undisrupted for these young learners in Sierra Leone.
Thanks, let's do this together!
