<div>Ultra‑Miles for Super Smiles: Running for Springmoor’s Outdoor Transformation

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Hi, I’m Thom — a parent of two children at Springmoor Grange and a firm believer in the power of the outdoors to shape confident, curious, resilient young people.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In a world where screens compete for every moment of attention, children need safe, inspiring outdoor spaces more than ever. Fresh air, movement, imagination, and hands‑on exploration aren’t just “nice to have” — they’re essential for wellbeing, learning, and happiness.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>That’s why I’m supporting The Friends of Springmoor Grange, a dedicated parent group who work tirelessly to enrich the lives of every child at the school, including my own. This year, they’re aiming to transform Springmoor’s outdoor provision: creating spaces where children can explore, play, learn, and thrive.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>To help make that vision a reality, I’ve set myself a challenge that pushes me far beyond my comfort zone.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> One Marathon. Three Ultramarathons.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Between April and September 2026, I’ll be taking on four major endurance events — running hundreds of miles to raise funds for Springmoor’s outdoor transformation. I’ll be sharing the journey, the training, the setbacks, the breakthroughs, and every muddy mile along the way.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<ul>

<li>️ April - 26miles/42km - The Manchester Marathon. An urban test - my first official marathon!

</li>

<li>⛰️ May - 31miles/50km - The Keswick Mountain Festival. Hills, glorious hills.

</li>

<li> June - 70miles/113km - The Wall. Carlisle to Newcastle - Walking in the footsteps of Romans.

</li>

<li>️ September - 68miles/110km - The 7 Valleys. THE challenge. A navigation of some of the Lake Districts most beautiful and most severe trails.

</li>

</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s 195miles, without the training!<br />
</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> Why this matters

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every donation helps create outdoor spaces where children can:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>• learn through real, hands‑on experiences

</div>

<div>• build confidence, independence, and resilience

</div>

<div>• enjoy imaginative, active play

</div>

<div>• connect with nature in meaningful ways

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand how much children benefit from being outdoors — and how much more they could gain with the right spaces and resources.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>❤️ How you can help

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Whether you’re a friend, family member, parent, neighbour, outdoor enthusiast, or simply someone who believes in giving children the best start in life, your support genuinely makes a difference.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Together, we can turn these ultra‑miles into super smiles and help create an outdoor space that Springmoor’s children — including my own — will enjoy for years to come.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for being part of this journey.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>❤️⛰️
