Hello, my name is Paul Edney.
I have volunteered to be part of a humanitarian group on the ground in Ukraine for a whole month on their next mission. It’s a registered non-profit organization that delivers food and supplies to Ukrainians in remote villages near the front lines of the Russian war against Ukraine. These villages are often under attack and without shops and basic services like running water, electricity etc. Their homes have often been bombed out and they live in makeshift quarters of what’s left of their homes or in basements.
Most residents who have not left these remote villages are elderly, disabled, sick or parents with young kids. They have no money to pay for transportation to leave. Often they don’t want to leave as their home is the only one that they have ever known. They need all the help they can get and the missions with food and supplies are very welcomed when they arrive.
Because of security concerns I can’t give you names, dates or places regarding the mission. But it is 100% legitimate and supported by the Government of Ukraine.
I am willing to take the risk and help Ukrainians but I need your support. I have to pay for my round trip airfare from California to Europe (about $1,500 - it’s peak season), plus my own food and other basic expenses while in Ukraine. The mission only supplies my accommodation while in Ukraine.
I am sure you will agree that this is a very worthy cause considering the brutality inflicted upon innocent Ukrainian civilians by Russian soldiers. The war crimes committed in Bucha and elsewhere are horrific examples.
I am willing to do my part to help the Ukrainians in their time of need. I would appreciate anyone who can help, however small the amount.
I have set a goal of $3,500 to cover my expenses. Anything received over this amount will be donated to the non-profit organization so they can continue their humanitarian missions in Ukraine.
Thank you for you generosity and support for world peace.
