Represent Ukraine in HEMA world fencing arena 2019

Hello,
My name is Ian and originally I am from Ukraine. I studied and practiced Cossacks saber techniques and sword combat since I was 15 years old. Today, after i moved to USA - I am willing to start sword fighter carrier in most promising fencing sport movement - Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). I can bring my expertise in Ukrainian historical saber and also practice new types of weapons like German and Italian long sword.

So why did I focus on Ukrainian techniques?
Well, obviously, besides my origin and Ukrainian roots - Cossacks were very famous warriors and represent valuable part of historical martial art legacy in Europe.
However, if you check top HEMA ratings, like https://hemaratings.com/ - among 1000 clubs and 4000+ fighters you won't be able to find any single Ukrainian athlete or club, and this should be changed!
USA - 192 clubs, 1614 athletes in tournament ratings
Canada - 23 clubs, 184 athletes in tournament ratings
Russia - 79 clubs, 532 athletes in tournament ratings
Poland - 31 clubs, 246 athletes in tournament ratings
Ukraine - 0 clubs, 3 athletes in tournament ratings
So how am I going to use your supporting donations?
The most important part of sport carrier is competitions on different levels with different opponents. This is especially important for my main goal, with full event media support - promotion of Ukrainian fencing techniques become very achievable. Considering mentioned above, I will allocate all donations to the following:
Tournament participation fees
Protective equipment specifically branded to promote Ukraine (it would be nice to have fencing mask in yellow and blue colors and other meaningful patches, don't you think?)
Training expenses
Check also my stretch goals under different future campaigns, such as Ukrainian&Polish online saber fencing school and non-profit saber fencing club located in New YorkNew Jersey.
