Ukaipo Mann is a passionate Tuba player from a remote outback town called Hillston in regional NSW. She attends Hillston Central School where her inspiration and passion for Tuba began. Ukaipo has been selected to join the Department of Education NSW West of the Divide Orchestra Tour to Italy and Croatia travelling in January 2019. Ukaipo plays the Tuba and was selected from the Riverina Barambola Band Camp which was organized by many dedicated teachers passionate about teaching music.
The total cost of the tour is $6000 plus expenses. We have already paid this and now she needs to cover her spending money for meals and minor expenses whilst over seas. She has attended the pre tour camp early October at Lake Burrendong near Wellington. This will be Ukaipo's first overseas adventure and she is very excited and proud to be the first female Tuba player from Hillston to attend this tour. They will be performing in Rome, Venice, Zareb during the two weeks. If anyone would like to donate towards helping Ukaipo on her journey we will be most appreciative. A Facebook page has been created showcasing her journey as she gets ready for her first musical adventure. Please feel free to like and share her story.
