For the kids

I am not even sure where to start! Life this last year and a half has been rough. While most families were ringing in the new year, our family found out that the leading man in our family had a tumor. It wasnt until May that he finally got diagnosed with thyroid cancer. When people say cancer sucks, they are not kidding. Cancer not only sucks every ounce of energy out of the person fighting it, it also sucks every penny you have ever made. And the ones who really suffer are the kids. Our kids are the most amazing children. They are kind and generous and very loving. It is  aweful as parent when you have to not only break the news to them that their father has cancer, but to also have to explain to them that we dont have the funds to go on the planned family vacation, or to get their hair cut. Something as simple as getting them school supplies also doesnt look like it may happen this year. My husband and I have given up nearly everything we can to make ends meet, we have exhaused all personal loans and sold his truck. It is not us we are wanting for, as we will make it through, its our children that we need help with. All the money we have goes to paying rent, utilites, groceries and the one car we have left. I just want to be able to take my kids somewhere fun this summer like the local water park and be able to get them school supplies. My husband and I beleive in paying it foward, so trust me when I tell you the we will share the love and generosity you bestow on us with someone else that may find themselves in a very familiar position.
