Herberich PTA Playground Fund

We are on a mission to build an inclusive playground at Herberich Primary School. Our current playground was installed over 20 years ago, and like most playgrounds that age, it’s time for a much-needed upgrade. We have an opportunity to reimagine a playground that is safe, accessible, and inclusive to all children regardless of their needs. Our new design features an accessible entryway and surfacing that allows access for students with mobility devices and a new play structure that is ADA compliant, including ramped access and sensory-rich equipment.

Herberich Primary School serves preschool through fourth-grade students with diverse physical and developmental needs. An inclusive playground for all of our children is essential. In addition, the Herberich playground is used by surrounding neighborhoods and community sports team families during evening and weekend games.

The Herberich PTA Playground Committee has partnered with the Copley-Fairlawn school district, local businesses, and community members to revitalize our outdoor play space. We have received an overwhelming response from the community during our fundraising campaign through donations and participation in 7 fundraising events. With a planned installation of our new inclusive playground in November 2022, we need your help to pay off the remainder of the expense.

No gift is too small, and any support is appreciated. Donors that support the Herberich Playground Project with a gift over $25 will be recognized via our donor level categories: Giggle Booster- $25-$199; Monkey Business - $200; Climbing Friend - $400; Epic Champion - $600; or Mythic Patron - $1,000+. Our Mythic Patrons will also be included in a permanent display of recognition on the playground. The Herberich PTA is a registered 501 (C) (3) charitable organization, and your donation is tax-deductible.
