Internship in Ireland

Hello! My name is Haven Davis, I am a sophomore graphic design student attending Charleston Southern University. This summer I have an amazing opportunity to go overseas and participate in a graphic design internship at Elevate Church in Limerick, Ireland. I feel very called to spend my summer not only growing in my graphic design skills but also reaching out and evangelizing to the people of Limerick. I believe God is going to do amazing things through me to change the hearts of some of the people in this country. My mission is to really connect with this community and grow in my relationship with Christ by surrounding myself with other Christians who attend Elevate church and in doing this, I will also be getting to use my graphic design skills to help this church grow. Elevate Church is a smaller church than what you find around the United States but when comparing it to churches in Ireland it is very fast growing. This church is in an area where Christianity is not very prominent and more so frowned upon. The people of Ireland do not have the best relationship with churches, they are not very open to the idea of evangelism. My goal and hope is that I will get to spend my summer opening the hearts of many people in this area and let them see the beauty of God and the church. I really believe God is going to move in many great ways while I am in Ireland this summer. I know I will be able to connect with many people and build amazing Christ-centered friendships. Although this is considered an internship, it all volunteer work so I will not be receiving any money from it. With that being said my goal is to fundraise enough money for living costs for this summer. God calls some of us to go and serve while he calls others to stay and support the ones who are going.
