Baby Rylee

Donation protected
On August 12th, 2018 Rylee Ann Kolodge was welcomed into the world. Adam and Liz have been patiently awaiting her arrival. After many hours of labor, an emergency c-section was preformed. Rylee was born in moderate distress. Acting in the safest and most efficient manner, Rylee was picked up and transported via helicopter to the UC Davis Children's Hospital. After a short period of diagnostic testing, Rylee has been diagnosed with Esophageal Atrisia. Rylee is unable to swallow her own saliva and has required intensive care to continually suction saliva and normal secretions from her throat to maintain an open airway. Rylee will undergo an extensive operation to reshape and repurpose her existing "plumbing" to reconnect her upper and lower GI tracts and disconnect the lower GI tract from her respiratory system. She is expected to spend several months in the hospital and will have to undergo major therapy to learn to swallow.

Adam and Liz both work full time jobs and will be taking an extended leave of absence to temporarily relocate to the Davis, CA area. We've set a fundraising goal of $5,000 to help them with emergency expenses incurred while traveling and various medical costs Rylee will accrue.

Please consider giving in any way possible for this wonderful couple. Rylee's lead surgeon today told Adam that there is no more resilient creature than a newborn baby girl. God has taken great pride in showing love through such a meek being in the eyes of the world. Most importantly, please keep Rylee, Elizabeth and Adam all in your prayers as they embark on this journey together.
