PPE for the NHS
Help us provide PPE to frontline NHS workers!
Helpful Engineering UK is a new volunteer group set up to design, produce and distribute visors to frontline NHS staff.
Since we set up not even two weeks ago we have been producing and distributing PPE to NHS frontline workers at 9 hospitals. We just celebrated our 2,000th piece of PPE delivered
We are set to scale up production and we need money to pay for materials. No-one at Helpful EngineeringUk is paid, we are all volunteers. There are now over 60 of us helping in a variety of roles.
The more money we get the more we can supply, the more lives you help us save.

Notes:
- We do have not yet have MHRA approval but have made contact. In the meantime, doctors and hospitals continue to want more.
- We have also liaised with Med Supply Drive UK who support our efforts. In addition, we have reached out to the National 3D Printing Association and hope to work with them too.
- We are the UK arm of Helpful Engineering, the global volunteer organisation which has brought together 3,400 engineers, medics, scientists to co-create PPE.
Final.
We have consulted with some of the doctors and teams we provided help to and we conclude
that providing PPE will no longer be feasible or possible. The medical services we spoke to universally suggested donating the remainder of the fund to local food banks which is what we now intend to do.
We realise this is not what the fund was set up for, but we feel that is an appropriate use for the remaining funds. If you have donated and do not wish the funds to be used that way please get in touch by 23.04.21 and we can refund your donation. After that date the funds will be redistributed.
