Bonnie’s surgery

Sadly 2days post op and Bonnie has taken a turn for the worse and had a heart attack and didn’t pull through unfortunately still left with a vet bill just over $2000 so if u can help I’ll be forever grateful REST EASY MY GIRL BON BON XX

Hi all, everyone knows me I’m not one to ask for help! But sadly I’m in need.

Bonnie my 10months old Catahoula has gotten extremely ill, she hasn’t eaten in 3days lost lots of weight, I had her in the vets at Gunnedah yesterday 28/6/24 to have tests done to figured out what was going on all her tests came back clear she also had an X-ray which showed nothing.

This morning 29/6/24 I have discovered she has prolapsed and have rushed her back to vets they assessed her, they believe she has string or plastic stuck around her intestine and bowl, vet as told me the surgery will be $1000-$1500 and then other cost on top for medications. They have to repair her bowel and possibly the intestine.

if anyone can help would be great nothing is too big or too small, I just want to get my girl fixed and back home with my other fur babies.

UPDATE: Bonnie surgery went well turns out was no string or plastic but she has had what they call Intussusception where the large intestine swallows the small intestine and she started to prolapse and pooing it out thankfully was caught early although she has had some small intestine and part of her bowel removed. With part of that which produces vitamin B for the body so we will now have to give her vitamin B injections for possibly rest of her life. Next 24hrs will be critical for her recovery which is why she’s staying in house at the vets and hope to return home to us Sunday afternoon.
