Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, unfortunately, we are unable to host the annual Patentia/Wales Fundraiser and Reunion.
These events raise funds to support our ongoing mission in Guyana. These funds will go towards purchasing book bags containing school supplies, supplies for the teachers and faculty, providing medical supplies to the local clinics and groceries for families and elderly people in need in the community, as well as, other necessities.
Guyana's government provides schools with very little educational funding. Since we started this mission we have been able to supply over 1,000 book bags with school supplies. Students living in rural and below income communities will value these book bags and the supplies immensely. We also provide supplies for the school staff/teachers (reading materials, recreational supplies and more). Throughout the community we have supplied over 30 grocery packages for the elderly, as well as, other necessities. Lastly, we have been able to provide medical supplies to the local clinics. This mission is something that truly makes a difference to the children, their parents and the member's of the community.
We are creating this gofundme to substitute not being able to hold the fundraisers this year. We ask that you please help us continue to support this mission as we make such a huge difference in the community yearly.
