Send Me "to Uganda with Love"

On May 29, 2013 I will embark on a journey to Uganda to work with the Children's Sure House Charity.

We will be working with the Ssese Island project:

Most children living on the island are orphans due to the spread HIV/AIDS through prostitution and the high incidence of drowning accidents. As this area is highly impoverished, parents cannot afford to take their children to school.

The project is located at Maboga village, one of the poorest areas on the island. They provide free formal education in well equipped schools and participate in community development projects.

During our time there, we will support a building project with local builders on the school property, teach and play with the children and help to distribute staple food items to the local community.

We will also be collecting and delivering items to the project including clothing and school supplies.
