Uganda Medical Missions

This summer, we have been blessed with opportunity to work as short-term missionaries for Bethesda Mission Clinic, a free-clinic in Kampala, Uganda. Bethesda Mission Clinic is a non-profit clinic and University Bible Fellowship affiliate that participates in sharing the Gospel by offering medical attention and quality care to patients in a developing country.
Going to Uganda sounds crazy. But the Lord has given us assurance in many ways that this is where He wants us to be this summer. Isaiah 55:5 says “Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy one of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.” While we currently know very little about Uganda, we know that He is going there before us, and is going with us. 1 Corinthians 2:12 says, “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given.” God has imbued in us an ever adventurous spirit that longs to follow Him and serve his people, even if it is a little crazy. It is by the Lord’s will and purpose that we want to go and serve in Uganda, and it is by the Lord’s will that we are able to do this— all to glorify his name.
We are giving our summer to God, leaving behind our friends and family and comforts, and asking for faith in how He will use our lives for His glory. We hope and pray through this experience that not only will we come to know Him more, but can also help others to know Him and his great love for us.
We invite you to support us in prayer and finances during our time abroad. Please pray for us to participate in the Gospel work, share what Christ has done in our lives, and for Christ to be at the center of our work and relationships so we can serve joyfully and eagerly. Pray that God can use us as a part of what he is doing in Uganda and come alongside Him in the body of Christ.
