The books have finally been picked up by the shipping company and will be sent by sea freight. I've finally received a quote, and the cost of shipping is now remarkably lower - $2700AU.
I have received an anonymous $1000 donation. So all we need to do is raise the outstanding amount.
Please help me get these books to the children of Uganda - one small donation can help SOOO many people

Lets Build a Library for the Children of Uganda
I received an overwhelming response from the book collection I ran to help build a better library for the children of Jinja, Uganda. I collected books at 3 sites: Melbourne, Sydney and Wollongong. As a result, I've managed to collect: children's reader books, fiction and non-fiction books for people aged 5 - 18 years, and importantly text books for the young adults who would like to or are attending University.
As a uni student, I was lucky that I didn't have to think of tuition fees. These young adults not only have to think about tuition fees but also the costs associated with text books - where one can easily cost $200AUD.
Now that the books are collected, I need your help in getting them to the Soul Foundation who run a school in Jinja, Uganda, and help young adults to get into University, to have a better life.
I saw the amazing work this Foundation is doing during my visit to Uganda in October 2017.
Shipping from Australia to Uganda isn't cheap - so lets all come together and help transport these invaluable books to the children and young adults who are in need of our help.
So far Australia Post is the cheapest shipping option:
20kg=$205.96
There are about 36 boxes weighing about 20kg = $7414.56
(some books still need to be packed nicely - but see the photos so far)
Every dollar counts - please share this and donate.
