Uganda Spring 2018

Donation protected
Hello,

On April 7th of 2018, I will be heading to Uganda for 4 weeks. I will be travelling with Ruth Kane and her fellow professors to work with the Agnes Zabali Boys and Girls Club, which is affiliated with the Canada-Africa Community Health Alliance.  We will be teaching the children basic english, some safety and security skills, as well as participating in activities at the club. Activities range from sports, to music and dance, to art and tech play, with supplies provided by donations of gently used electronics, books and toys. In earlier years, the visiting group built a basketball court with and for, the children. The Agnes Zabali Boys and Girls Club differs from typical mission organizations, as founders and managers travel to support the children year after year. Often,  African communities receive missioners only once. If you would like to know more about the club please visit http://azboysandgirlsclub.com/.

This is an amazing opportunity for students like myself. I am currently in the Police Foundations Program, in hopes of one day being part of the force. The wordly experience and exposure to culture this trip will provide is tremendously beneficial to my development in the field. However being a student on a budget, it is quite challenging. If you can, I appreciate any  donation to  support me on my journey to Uganda, anything helps- sharing this link helps too!

Thank you.
