<div>Last Monday on January 6, 2025, my brother, Joey Pardue, had a vertebral artery dissection which prompted a stroke. He is 47 and was in good health prior, so this was a complete shock to our family. They successfully removed the majority of clot in his brain, however, he has suffered brain damage in the PONS area of the brain stem. Currently, he is experiencing paralysis of his entire right side and will have to regain both the abilities to swallow and talk.

<div>He is a loving husband to Bianca and a devoted father to Abbie (18) and Ellie (5). As his new reality has become more clear, we are preparing for intensive therapy and costly equipment to help him regain his health.
