ACL surgery for Lucy

I never thought I would find myself here, but as anyone who knows me will know, there is nothing I wouldn’t do for my Lucy girl. 

Lucy tore her ACL Monday night, October 12th. After a trip to the vet for x-rays it was confirmed and I was informed that due to her size and her age the best course of treatment for Lucy is surgery to repair her ruptured ligament. 

As many of you may know, Lucy also suffers from epilepsy and despite being on fairly aggressive treatment her condition has been very hard to manage, and subsequently it has been very expensive. We take trips to the emergency vet on a regular basis and her monthly medications, pet insurance, and time off from work to observe her cost me several hundred dollars each month. 

I am a full time college student and work full time as a server, while also dealing with my own health issues (chronic migraines) so this entire situation is just HELLLLLA stressful. I know the pandemic has struck people deep, I myself have been included in that pain, but I am at a point where I would give anything to help my girl. 

Lucy has always been my beacon of hope while I’ve navigated adulthood, mental illness, college, and more and now is the time to return the favor to her. Literally any little bit will help. I have explored every option available to me but my resources are just exhausted.
