A Dignified Farewell for My Father

Hello, my name is Laura Pineda or Ms. Laura, as many know me and it is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my father’s recent passing in Guatemala. His loss has deeply impacted our family, and unfortunately, the funeral expenses have left us with a significant debt that now falls on both my mother and me.

On top of our grief, my mother is now solely responsible for my two younger siblings, who are still in school. We are doing our best to stay strong and move forward, but the emotional and financial burden has been overwhelming.

That’s why I’ve created this campaign in hopes that those who are able and willing can offer their support. Every donation, no matter how small, will help ease this weight and allow us to give my father the dignified farewell he deserves.

Una despedida digna para mi papá

Hola, mi nombre es Laura Pineda o Ms. Laura, como muchos me conocen y con el corazón en la mano les comparto que recientemente perdimos a mi papá en Guatemala. Su partida ha sido un golpe muy duro para nuestra familia, y lamentablemente los gastos funerarios han generado una deuda que ahora recae sobre mi mamá y sobre mí.

Además del profundo dolor que estamos viviendo, mi mamá ha quedado al cuidado de mis dos hermanos menores, quienes aún se encuentran estudiando. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible por salir adelante, pero la carga emocional y económica ha sido abrumadora.

Por eso he creado esta campaña, con la esperanza de contar con el apoyo de quienes puedan y deseen colaborar. Cada aporte por pequeño que parezca será una gran ayuda para aligerar esta carga y permitirnos despedir a mi papá con la dignidad que merece.
