"Music Heals Minds" - This summer, as So Damn Lucky Crew follows Dave and the guys around, we'll also be raising awareness and funds for non-profits and charities supporting mental illnesses! We believe in love, and we believe we can change the world, one step at a time.
This summer, we are supporting charities that exist to care for and support those with illnesses and disease processes affecting cognitive function, behavioral, and emotional health... Simply put, for: mental illnesses, suicide awareness and prevention, post-traumatic stress disorder... any disorder or condition that affects an individual's emotional, behavioral, or cognitive functioning.
Anything affecting the "Mind".
From Dave Matthews Band's Summer Tour schedule, we have chosen 20 cities/stops for which we will fundraise. In the areas surrounding these 20 cities/stops, we will chose local charities that somehow support our cause, "Music Heals Minds".
By raising money to support education, services, and direct aid such as housing and food, our hope is to show those afflicted by mental illnesses and/or disease processes that affect cognitive functioning and behavioral and emotional health, "We'll be by you then."
