UCC Dental Society Supporting Cork Penny Dinners

This year UCC DentSoc is asking staff and students of Cork Dental School to raise funds for local charity Cork Penny Dinners just in time for Christmas. 100% of funds raised will go entirely towards the charity.
What is Cork Penny Dinners?
Cork Penny Dinners is one of Cork's oldest caring charitable organizations. Currently serving up to 2000 freshly made meals per week. Cork Penny Dinners’ aim is to help all who struggle and those in need. Cork Penny Dinners provide a hot nourishing meal of soup, main course, dessert and tea/coffee daily to those who need it most. The volunteers and organizers of Cork Penny Dinners are overjoyed to learn of the dental societies willingness to lend a helping hand. This year has been difficult for us all, but for some it has been harder than ever. We often forget just how lucky we all are to have the simple things in life that we may sometimes take for granted: an education, a roof over our heads and food at the table. Cork's homeless community are in need of our support and I believe that we as a school can come together in these times of uncertainty to provide a communal act of kindness and compassion to help shine some light in the lives of those who are struggling this Christmas.
We at the Dental Society would be extremely grateful if you were to donate just a few euros towards this truly remarkable charity.
