Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to have a read of Hannah's story.
Just to give you some back ground Hannah was born April 2005 and was diagnosed from birth with a rare disorder called Leigh disease.
at first we didn't understand much about this as it is so rare but was told that Hannah has the worst form of the condition and that she would not live past here first birthday , but Hannah had other ideas and she would not give up on her fight for life so easily.
all though there has been many dark days to get to this point and a lot of tears she still defied all the odds .
all through the pain and suffering she has to endure on a daily basis and continues to get worse as she is slowly deteriorating , she wakes up every morning with a smile.
Her care is 24 hr a day and her medical needs are a constant , as she need to be feed through an intrevintrous line into her heart and as this can only be provided by trained nurses and our selves as parents .
our time and resources are spent trying to give her some quality of life with what she has left.
the government fund a budget to cover nursing and care to a degree. But this year that that budget will be reduced effectively cutting the care Hannah needs .
which is why we are turning to you for help!!
the amount shown is what was cut from the budget and would cover nursing for the next year . At one night a week . To Hannah this would make the world of difference.
As hannahs parents this would also give us a needed night sleep to be able to care for Hannah and for her two brothers too.
this would mean so much to the family as it would help us to cope better with the little time we have left with our beautiful little girl .
