Royal Vale School: Dance for Alex

Alex Porter-Rozmovits was a bright, loving and thriving 6 year old Royal Vale kindergarten student. Alex died suddenly on June 22, 2009 of a rare bacterial infection. His parents and his sisters Abby and Olivia miss him every day.
Mme Yasmine, Alex’s gym teacher noticed how he enjoyed dancing with his friends and with her. Royal vale school has hosted the “Dance for Alex” since 2010 in his memory. Every December, the entire elementary school students, teachers and parents gather in the gym to dance and remember their fellow student. Over the years we have had dancers, athletes, and fitness experts lead the crowd in energetic dance and exercise. As Alex’s parents, we are so touched by the efforts of Royal Vale School in keeping his memory alive.
Alex’s parents would like to take the opportunity with the Dance for Alex to give back to our community and raise funds for Royal Vale School . Funds raised will be used for fitness equipment and a gym in the school.
At this time, we are requesting donations in honour of the event to be held December 6th, 2019 at the school. The event will host Royal Vale elementary children and parents that would like to join. Dancers will lead the students and a surprise guest will attend.
