Hello Friends and Family,
As most of you know 2 years ago Baby Max was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis, which a disease that inflates the pancreas and does not heal or improve. With Baby Max the condition is a little tricky because unlike typical CP patients Max's pancreas has completely shriveled up. The doctors aren't sure what caused this or how he has not become diabetic yet, since the other side of the pancreas produces insulin. We are trying to raise money so we can save the cord blood and cord tissue from our new baby in hopes that they can use those stem cells to help produce enzymes and insulin in a new organ of the body. All money raised will go towards the cost of saving the necessary cells and tissues at a Cord Blood Bank. We will need to have all the money by June 5th.
