Help Jack Beat Cancer

This is for my sister Jessica Corr and her husband Tim and son Jack. Upon hearing the news of her family’s situation, so many people have reached out to me asking what they can do to help. My nephew Jack (who is three years old) has been diagnosed with metastatic neuroblastoma which is stage four of one of the most complex and serious childhood cancers. He is very seriously ill and currently in the ICU at Seattle Children’s hospital on high flow oxygen support and a feeding tube as tumors have taken over much of his lungs and are all throughout his abdomen. He has cancer through several different parts of his body and will need a very aggressive treatment in order to make it. Jessica is two weeks away from giving birth to their third child and Tim just returned 3 weeks ago from being deployed in Poland with the National Guard. Because Jack’s cancer is so advanced, it will take a very aggressive and long-term approach requiring the use of several different treatments including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, immunotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant in order to fight it appropriately. His doctors estimate his treatment will take about 18 months to complete. With all of this in mind, we have estimated the cost after insurance will be about $50,000 (between medical bills and any in-home care that Jack will need as he is not doing great on his own). I also ask for your continued faith and prayers that Jack will not only make it but go onto thrive and have a great and healthy life. The emotional cost of having a child suffering from cancer and adding to it delivering a new baby is really heavy and so I am hoping that with some of their financial burden lifted it will be a little easier to bear.
