Children in Ghana

ENGLISH: As some of you may know, I recently spent 2 full weeks in a small village in Ghana. The whole experience was eye opening and beyond incredible.

I went as a volounteer for @ivhq and my job was in childcare. I helped get kids get ready for school, helped with their meals and homework. Just playing with them all, and seeing how happy they are even if they don’t have anything, was beyond amazing.

The kids love school, but are missing a lot of the basic things we take for granted which would make their life easier: books, pens, chairs, as well as toilet paper, soap, shoes, new uniforms and cups to drink water from when they get thirsty. These are all things that we take for granted but would make such a huge difference in these kids life.

I feel blessed to have been able to spend two weeks participating in these kids life, getting to know them and playing with them. I will never forget them. But aside from the social impact I had on their life, I want to make a more economical difference now.

I’ve created a Go Fund me page, and once I’ve reached a good amount of donations, I will send the money directly to the man in charge of the childcare program in the village, and he will then decide where the money can be spent in the most helpful way for the kids.

Please remember any small amount makes a HUGE difference in their  life!

*** To ensure the money will be spent in the most efficient way. I will send the money directly to Felix, the man who takes care of the child-care program in the town I was living in. We became very good friends, and he knows both the schools in the area and all the families living there very well. Whenever a volunteer makes a big donation, he is in charge of deciding where the money will be spent in the best way, since he knows the community so well. I fully trust him, and will send him the money directly from my bank account. Once he decides where the money should be spent, he will let me know and I will then approve, and later on will get pictures to share with everybody who donated!

ITALIANO:
