PATCH

Donation protected
My Local Community - I have set up this fund on behalf of my Mother, whose beloved dog has been brutally attacked not once but twice!!  Most of you I am sure have commented on the FB post or have been following it.  Many people have offered to donate funds to help Patches.  I thank you all deeply for your well wishes, and offers and I would be eternally grateful if you could assist her at this time.

I have agonised over setting this up for a few days, but feel that my mother who is past retirement age, and lost her husband to tragic circumstances not so long ago, needs some help with this.  If further funds past goal figure is raised, I will donate the balance to our local Animal Shelter for good use, and will publicise this if/when it occurs.

My Mum will be horribly embarrassed that I have done so, however to date, the first attack cost close to $4K (part of this was paid for by the initial attackers),  the second attack has already superseded this, and will incur further ongoing costs for further  surgeries & medications etc.

PATCHES STORY
Patch was brutally attacked 6 weeks ago and has only had the last stitches from his ear removed late last week. He had recovered amazingly.

WE ARE DEVISTATED tonight (31/7) as Patch is currently in surgery & may not survive. He has been ATTACKED again at our home!

My mother had built an enclosure for them (metal panels), right at our front door,  the panels have been broken down in order to get to Patch.

*His Ear has totally been removed off and stitched up
*They had to cut open all the bite wounds on inside of back legs and cleaned, flushed and stitch up.. some of them.
*The skin has been stretched and sewn to close the gaping hole - however given his previous attack, there was not much to work with.  The skin is already deteriorating.  We are looking at skin grafts for him.
*He has other holes in him that will require surgery next week
*He has numerous drainage tubes in him again with buckets of medication
*He is unable to blink his left eye due to the wound above it - this may or may not get better, wait & see situation, again, may require further surgery.

The list goes on!  Patch was in surgery this time 4 hours.  Not all was attended to given his state and blood pressure dropping during surgery.  Patch is one tough cookie!
