Kayla's Treatment Fund

In March of 2016 I was given a drug to treat my preexisting endometriosis.  This drug, Lupron, a chemo drug, caused extensive damage to my autonomic nervous system.  I deteriorated quickly, and became subject to intense chronic pain from my waist down through my toes.  I went to countless physicians searching for a diagnosis and a treatment, but my case is far too complicated for most doctors.  I was treated very poorly by doctors, two even told me I was "too pretty to be sick”.

In the past 3 years I have been diagnosed with Autonomic Neuropathy, Gastroparesis, Small Fiber Neuropathy, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome; all of which were triggered/caused by the Lupron injections. These are all chronic conditions, but there are treatment options that will give me a better quality of life. Without treatment or a Service Dog, I would be housebound if not completely bedbound for the rest of my life.

The main problem is that the treatment and Service Dog are not covered by insurance, and the amount of money we need is overwhelming. We have begun to take money out of my education account in order to fund the things I need in order to have any quality of life, but it is not enough.
