<div>We are Jennifer Carbajal and Robert Podgorski. Owners of a locally owned organic cafe in Downtown Fort Myers that was recently devastated by hurricane Ian.

<div>Our home and restaurant filled up with 6 feet of water and we had to evacuate. We had to swim out of our home with our chihuahuas in our heads and our life behind us.  We lost everything we own during the storm. Our cars, our home, our valuables and most importantly our wonderful little cafe known as Green Cup. The worst part is our lack of insurance coverage on both our house and the business. Living in a historical neighborhood we had no insurance on either our home or cafe as it was too costly and never had we witnessed in our lifetime as Floridians a storm so powerful and destructive.

<div>We lost everything. But came out with our lives which is more fortune then those who were lost during hurricane Ian. We have a new lens on life and are grateful at the opportunity to start again. Our community is amazing and we can’t imagine doing anything else.

<div>We are working to rebuild our life but to also to provide for our employees who have also been just as adversely affected. Donations will go directly to helping our staff financially as well as helping Green cup reopen. We have a long road ahead of us. But our community is great and together we are #SWFLSTRONG
