We got Bella just under one year ago , she wasn’t wanted anymore and was mistreated she is the most beautiful kind loving dog and has completed our family and we have given her the best year we possibly could and hope to continue that for many years to come Sadly on the 30th December Bella fell ill and was acting strange and seemed in pain so we took her to the vets and they said they think she had damaged her spine and gave her 5 day pain relief to then wake up on the 31st to Bella being paralysed from the waist down and struggling to breathe. So we rushed her back to the vet and they told us that they think it’s neurological and she needed a operation as soon as possible otherwise she will die, so we managed to get £2000 for Bella to be seen with the help of me putting my saved birthday and Christmas money to help my mum with the vet bills of the £5000 so she could have the operation done which we still have £1000 left to pay after raising some from family members .Whilst doing scans before the surgery we found out Bella had numerous slipped disks that were compressing on her organs and internal bleeding. After a long 4 hour surgery they managed to stabilise Bella’s condition but she is still unable to stand and walk at this moment in time. Bella has a long recovery ahead and all in all will need lots of physio therapy to try get her to ever walk again so we are trying to raise funds to give her the best recovery and chance at life again.
