Every Penny Helps

If you’re reading this, I’d like to begin with “thank you”. We are one step closer to sharing this incident and uniting with healing thoughts and prayers.
On May 4th, a Husband and a Father of 5, Peter, got into an unexpected biking accident. After being taken to Estevan, Saskatchewan the doctors realized pretty quickly there wasn’t much they could do, he required more advanced medical attention.
Rushed to Regina with red sirens, the news awaiting my family was 8 broken ribs, a burst spleen, a broken L4 in the lower spine, and a broken shoulder blade. 
He was omitted into emergency surgery in the evening of May 5th for a spinal operation. He now has 2 plates and 2 screws in his back.
Peter has been self-employed with contracting construction work, therefore EI is not an option. The family lives 2 hours from the hospital with a 9 and 11 year-old boys still at home, with their mom, Helena, who is a stay at home mom and a part-time babysitter.
The healing process starts now.
At this time, we’re asking anyone who feels called, to leave a donation as our family does not know when work will be an option again.
Our goal is high, but we note that every penny, dollar, prayer, is appreciated!

Update:
The spinal surgeon has requested 6 months of rest- and Peter now has a plate and screws in his left shoulder as well. The specialists have been very kind and have been doing their best and it shows. He has been transferred to a smaller hospital, closer to Home, which makes visits much easier for the family. Here he has been practicing deep breathing, to prevent potential pneumonia in the upper chest. With constriction and pain from his broken ribs, this is a work in progress.

We are feeling the love! The prayers! The thoughts! The messages. Its so so powerful.  A thank you does not do justice how grateful we are for all of you that have shared our story and sent healing energies.
